High Seas Fish Producers Organization (HSFPO) was established by Polish companies conducting fishing operations in North Atlantic – NAFO and NEAFC areas, in the Fishery Protection Zone around Svalbard, also in the West Africa - Morocco and Mauritania waters and in the South Pacific – SPRFMO area.

For years we have been cooperating with many national, European and international organizations to help our operators to achieve Common Fishery Policies goals as well as to conduct rational and sustainable fishing operations.

HSFPO PURSUES INTER ALIA THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES:

PROMOTING THE VIABLE AND SUSTAINABLE FISHING ACTIVITIES OF ITS MEMBERS
CONTRIBUTING TO THE TRACEABILITY OF FISHERY PRODUCTS AND ACCESS TO CLEAR AND COMPREHENSIVE INFORMATION FOR CONSUMERS
CONTRIBUTING TO FOOD SUPPLY AND PROMOTING HIGH FOOD QUALITY AND SAFETY STANDARDS, WHILST CONTRIBUTING TO EMPLOYMENT IN COASTAL AREAS

European fishing, processing, aquaculture and trading sectors call for urgent corrective action on EU Fisheries Control Regulation

European organisations representing the fishing, fish processing, aquaculture and trading sectors are calling on the European Commission to urgently correct and recalibrate the implementation of the EU Fisheries Control Regulation, including the CATCH IT system. In line with the joint statement submitted by Member States to the Agriculture and Fisheries Council, the sectors urge swift, targeted actions to address provisions that are proving unworkable in practice and that risk undermining safety at sea, legal certainty and the competitiveness of EU operators.

Stakeholders unite to call for an EU Action Plan on Blue Foods

On 3 September, a coalition of leading organisations active in fisheries and aquaculture - EBCD, Europêche, EAPO, FEAP, and AIPCE-CEP - formally launched a joint call for an EU Action Plan on Blue Foods at the European Parliament (Brussels – Belgium). The organisations urged EU policymakers to take decisive action to integrate aquatic foods into Europe’s broader food and sustainability strategies.
